Charity
At City Link we pride ourselves in playing a key role in communities across the UK.
Each year City Link launches an annual Charity partnership. In 2009, we have chosen to support the Make-A-Wish Foundation® UK.

Make-A-Wish Foundation® UK has a very simple objective – to grant magical wishes to children and young people fighting life-threatening illnesses. The charity was founded in the UK in 1986 and since then has granted over 5,300 wishes.
As City Link is celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2009, we are aiming to raise £40,000, £1,000 for every year in business, for Make-A-Wish Foundation® UK.
Whatever their wish is, whether it be spending a day as a pop star or a delivery driver, taking their first flight or meeting their favourite celebrity, Make-A-Wish does all it can to give the child a treat to remember.
Impressed by the charity’s outstanding track record, generous colleagues, Customers and suppliers have already donated £2,600 to Make-A-Wish at the Surrey based Company’s recent annual conference.
City Link has also recently donated a further £250 to mark the opening of its new depot at Kidderminster, Worcestershire.
City Link is to hold a series of fund-raising events over the next 12 months involving its 6,000 Colleagues.

For the past three years we have really enjoyed a relationship with UK charity, Marie Curie Cancer Care by supporting its Mini Pots of Care fundraising activity for schools and groups. This creative and educational daffodil planting project allows children to learn about science and nature as well as the work of the Marie Curie Nursing service.
Each autumn thousands of children across the country take part in the activity, helping to raise funds so that Marie Curie Nurses can provide more free care to patients with terminal cancer and other illnesses in their own homes.
