City Link Customer Open Day in West Bromwich
03/03/2009

Premium express delivery company City Link this week invited Customers to an open day at its West Bromwich Depot following a major investment in IT.
The event was organised to give Customers the chance to see at first hand how the Depot operates and for the Depot Team to demonstrate the new state of the art track and trace IT systems which have been rolled out across the UK as part of a £2.5 million investment.
The Depot, which has over 70 employees, handles in excess of 12,000 parcels a day.
Mark Wilson, Operations Manager, of City Link West Bromwich, said: “The investment in this Depot demonstrates City Link’s commitment to West Bromwich and our local Customers. It is thanks to their ongoing loyalty that we are able to make such investments.”
“At City Link we are totally Customer focused and seek to build long term partnerships with all of our Customers.”
City Link, which this year celebrates its 40th anniversary, operates a network of 3,500 vehicles, employs 6,500 people, has over 85 Depots across the UK and handles in excess of 350,000 parcel a day.
